The 605 / 805's heritage start back in 1971 with the 4373 / 4573 with the introduction of the "Orbit III synthesizer". These models had Wurlitzers own "Spectra - Tone" revolving speaker system. The 605 / 805 was almost identical but used updated electronic and included a "Leslie speaker". They also updated the colors off the tabs to be brighter and modern.

Rare Tape Beginning To See The Light By Glenn Derringer 1974

This rare tape demonstrates the Wurlitzer 805 Centura Professional Organ. Takes you through most of the organ sections one at a time. In the video I have used my own 805 to show close ups of the section being covered.

It also applies to most of the the 605 Centura Deluxe spinet organ as it is almost identical. I was delighted to find this tape as I had forgotten I had it.

Wurlitzer 605 Centura Deluxe 1974:

The  605 is the spinet version of the 805 and is almost identical except for a couple of effects, Marimba, Guitar, Piano and some rhythm patterns. I don't have one in my collection anymore it has been disassembled as spares parts for the 805.

My parents bought me one while I was learning and have recordings of me playing. Follow link for more information.

The Wurlitzer 555 was also very popular sporting the full Orbit III synth but less upper and lower sounds and taking away the 2' footage also.
